Qingsong Lin is a Principal Research Fellow at the Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore (NUS).

He obtained his B.Sc. in Biochemistry (1991) and M.Sc. in Enzymology (1994) from Xiamen University, China, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Biochemistry (2002) from the University of Toronto, Canada. Following his doctoral studies, he was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship at NUS (2003–2006), subsequently serving as a Senior Research Fellow (2006–2007). He was appointed Assistant Professor in 2008, a position he held until 2015, after which he transitioned to a Senior Research Fellow, and was promoted to Principal Research Fellow in 2021.

He is currently the Director of the Protein and Proteomics Centre (PPC) at NUS and serves as the Corresponding Principal Investigator of SingMass (Singapore National Laboratory for Mass Spectrometry). He was the President of the Singapore Mass Spectrometry Society from 2017 to 2024, and a Council Member of the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) from 2021 to 2024. He currently serves as a Council Member of both the Asia Oceania Human Proteome Organization (AOHUPO) and the Asia Oceania Agricultural Proteomics Organization (AOAPO).

His expertise centers on the application of mass spectrometry to proteins, proteomics, and other biomolecules. His research interests focus on disease biomarker discovery and elucidation of disease mechanisms, drug target identification and mechanism of action studies, and the application of quantitative proteomics and mass spectrometry technologies to address diverse biological questions.
