Yih-Cherng Liou is currently the Associate Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Science and an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He serves as Deputy Editor and Editorial Board Member for several international academic journals. Professor Liou obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Queen’s University in Canada. He then joined the Division of Cancer Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School as a postdoctoral researcher, studying the role of prolyl isomerase (Pin1) in cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. In 2003, he joined the Department of Biological Sciences at NUS, focusing on the mechanisms of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. His research has been published in prestigious international journals such as Cell, Molecular Cell, Nature, Nature Cell Biology, and PNAS etc. He has published over 100 research papers to date.
