Dr. Ma Bing is the program manager for smart gripper for soft robotics (SGSR) program, which was established in 2021. She started to manage the CREATE program since 2011, as the program manager for Nanomaterials for Energy and Water management (NEW-CREATE) for 10 years, which nourished the collaboration between HUJ and NTU.  She experienced in initiation of research collaborations, grant management, project management and laboratories management, familiar with funding schemes and policies.

She graduated from school of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University expertise in nanomaterials synthesis and application. She published 11 publications during her PhD study and holding 7 patent applications. Later, she was PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), with 3 years of project management in Corporation Technology in Simens Pte ltd and 1 year experience in TÜV SÜD PSB Pte Ltd, Singapore.
